User Permissions Management
Control what your team members can access and do in TallyHub. This guide covers setting up and managing user permissions.
User Roles
TallyHub comes with predefined roles:
- Owner: Full access to all features
- Manager: Access to most features except billing
- Cashier: POS and sales access only
- Staff: Limited access based on permissions
Custom Permissions
You can create custom permission sets:
- Go to Settings → Team
- Click "Create Role"
- Select permissions for the role
- Save and assign to users
Common Permission Sets
- Sales Only: Access to POS and sales
- Inventory Only: Access to inventory management
- Reports Only: View-only access to reports
Best Practices
- Follow the principle of least privilege
- Review permissions regularly
- Remove access for former employees immediately
- Use role-based access when possible
